Posts should be between 500 and 1,000 words and discuss an important issue of international, comparative, or transnational law or policy in a way that is substantive, meaningful, timely and feminist-oriented. (The blog understands “feminist” to refer to intersectional, inclusive, gender-sensitive analysis.) Authors are strongly encouraged to include hyperlinks in posts. Submissions with footnotes will not be considered.
No prior publication experience is necessary. Early-career lawyers and scholars, including law students, are encouraged to submit posts.
ILG publishes original content. However, we welcome posts that reflect part of a larger project. For instance, if you are publishing a 15,000-word article in an academic journal, ILG would gladly consider a post summarizing the same argument or exploring a facet of the larger work.
ILG aims to publish as many submissions as possible. However, due to the volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to publish many excellent posts. Submitting a post does not guarantee publication.
By submitting a post to ILG, you certify that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Submissions generated with AI programes, such as ChatGPT, will not be considered.
ILG is run by a small team of part-time volunteers. We are unable to publish posts that need a substantial amount of editing. We aim to respond to submissions as soon as possible. However, if you have not heard from us two weeks after submitting, please feel free to pursue publication elsewhere. If you have any questions, please contact us at intlawgrrls@gmail.com. We look forward to reviewing your submission.
