The Human Rights Law Centre has announced details of their forthcoming short courses. Taught by human rights academics and practitioners in the field, both courses are designed to give an in-depth understanding of international human rights standards and the UN and regional systems that implement them.

· International Human Rights Law Short Course, a 10-week residential course at the University of Nottingham

The 10-week residential course provides an opportunity to study at the University in Nottingham learning through a programme of seminars, guest lectures, visits and conferences. The course finishes after ten weeks, but students may opt to stay on to undertake a three months internship or research project.

· International Human Rights Law Distance Learning Course, a four-module distance learning course taken over the academic year

The distance learning course offers flexibility of choice and time management and is ideal for those who cannot attend a full time course. Participants learn through an interactive website and a series of modules with study guides, key source materials and optional self-study questions, upon the answers to which tutors comment.
